Default Jet Chip Stage 1 HELP!

I have the Jet Chip Stage 1 and when I installed it the Electronic Throttle Control Light (lightining bolt between brackets) came on.

Tried it again and same thing happened.

Things I did:
- Disconnected the battery while fitting both times
- Checked that it fitted and lined up properly
- Checked that no pins were bent - all ok

I did a search but couldn't find any suggestions.

Any ideas??

Hi KSK,

That is the Hypertec - which I don't have but appreciate the effort.

Hey there,

I'm no expert but I do have the same set up as you. Airaid throttle body spacer, Airaid cold air intake, and jet chip stage 1. Sounds like you did everything correct. I would suggest that you remove the jetchip (after battery disconnect) and see if the light goes off. If it does then you know the Jetchip is the cause for some reason and nothing else. Then inspect the Jetchip pins as well as your factory and make sure there is no foreign material like a smudge of grease or something that got on a pin and hindered a good connection. If that fails to correct the problem, call Jetchip as they have good customer service with problem issues from what I've heard.

my lightning bolt likes to come on every so often, i usually just shut off the jeep, start back up and its gone. But if yours stays on, its prolly a bad jet chip. I'm running a stage II and had a similar issue, it was under warranty through Jet Chip and they shipped me out a new one and i sent them back the old one. took care of the issue.

Good luck
