Default Jk brakes

Do the brakes on a JK make noise when it's time to replace? I am getting a slight scraping noise from the rear of the vehicle. Could it be brakes or is it a bearing?

you can't count on hearing a noise. Maybe they will make a noise, maybe not. When my rears were shot they did not make a noise. Probably not likely a bad bearing. I don't think that is a common problem. I suggest you check your rotors and pads. Brake pad replacement is very easy and doesn't cost much money.

The stock pads do have a piece of metal that starts scraping the rotor and makes noise when they are worn out.
