JK D30/D44 compatibility
What parts between a D30 and D44 on a JK are compatible? As in if you were to buy a D44 housing other than the obvious carrier, ring & pinion, what other parts from the D30 can be used?
So outters, unit bearings, steering knuckles are good.
Just inner shafts in?
And if you haven't done so already, consider an ARB setup instead of the factory locker. Those things are ridiculously expensive. You should be able to get the 35sp arb + 35sp shafts for close to the cost of just the factory locker.

Yep, both use the same 32sp outer shafts, knuckles, brakes, etc.
The joints connecting the shafts are different, and need to be replaced when connecting the 32sp outer to the rubi 30sp inner shafts. So from the joints inward need replacing.

The center sections are different. The d44 won't run d30 innards, and the d30 won't run d44 innards. Different gear size/carrier size/locker size, and I'm pretty sure the inner shafts are different lengths also.
Other than the center sections, though, the actual housings are the same. Same length, tube diameter, wall thickness, and same ends/c's.
