Default Jk unlimited with command trac tcase, rubicrawler or atlas tcase

So, I have 2010 jk unlimited wrangler with 3.73 gears. I have 35" tires and will be getting 5.13s to get back power.

Should I swap the tcase for a rubicon 4:1 or should I add a rubicrawler with the 5.13s.

I will be rock crawling as much as you can in KS, but would like to take it to CO. Will be adding air lockers.

Any ideas for best combo?

All ideas appreciated!

Can the rubi crawler be disengaged. If so I'd go that route that way you can use the higher gear ratio of the stock t-case for situations that call for a higher rpm like mud or going through water. Then when on rocks switch to the rubi crawler. I personally like my higher ratio on my jeep for when I'm driving on sand.

I just looked it up and it is selectable so you can run the stock tease range as well as the ultra low range of the rubi crawler. For the cost though it seems like it'd be cheaper to get a rubi tcase.

I was under the assumption that the rubi tcase is the same except different gearing so you may be able to just get those gears and install them. Since both changing out the tcase to a rubicon tcase and adding a rubi rawer have you removing the tcase the labor seems about the same.

With Rubicrawler you will get 2.72:1 and 7.4:1 low range, and 4:1 with rubi t-case. Decide for yourself which one you need more. One thing I'd be concerned about is the driveline strength. 7.4 low range * 5.13 gears * 2.84 1st gear = 108 crawl ratio! You're thinking about lockers too, you said?

I'd go with 5.13 first, and then see if you need to go even lower.

I have the 2010 w/ 35's and the 5.13 gearing. I do a large amount of rock crawling and haven't had any issues to speak of. The gearing difference was huge, so I would start there and see what you think.
