Also considering all the issues I've read about the clock spring, I would find a way to at least cover that up along with the dash. Something like a condom... Dashboard Condom - Patent Pending 61/844,496

i have the bedrug, and pulled the plugs from underneath. it dries out after rain pretty well. i havent seen any rust/mildew problems and i run topless/doorless year round (for last 2 years), parked outside. BUT, I'm in northern california so it doesn't rain all that much. thumbs up for the trek armor seat covers.
to cover the electronics I use backpack rain covers - one for the steering wheel and one for the radio console. i bought some that have velcro straps/hooks and just hook them on to the air vents etc. keeps the worst of the rain off. i also drilled a couple small holes in the cup holders so they don't fill up. |

You'd be crazy to "REGULARLY" leave any JK open to rainstorms -- mine has been through a few storms and it does sun dry after ... but... the electrics will get wet and need time to dry out. Ive no long-lasting problems after rain, but on occasion after getting wet : the horn has a mind of its own (fun driving around town with the horn alarm intermittently blarring), and the radio wont flip channels.
