Lightbulb JL Hood Latches on the JK

Today in the shop, we ordered the JL hood latches to retrofit them on the JK. The install only took 30 minutes and requires basic tools.

Here are the tools needed:
-10mm socket
-13mm socket
-3/8 drill bit
-ratchet
-drill gun

We bought the parts at onlinemoparparts.com
The part numbers are:
-68240951AB (Bracket-Hood Catch) $5.32 each x2
-68240952AD (Latch-Hood) $23.84 x2

First start by removing the oem hood-latch catch using the 10mm socket. Then Remove the hood latch in the bottom using the 13mm socket. (You might want to remove the inner fender to have better access).
Once removed, clean down the area and using your 3/4 drill bit, drill all existing holes to make them longer. (This will allow you to adjust the latch)

Once drilled, place your new hood latch and hood latch catch on and tighten nuts.

Do you have any pics from inside the jeep? I'm interested in doing this but I'm looking to keep a "classic" look for it at the same time....if that makes sense.

FWIW, the one negative I noticed on a friend's 2010 with this conversion is that the loops get stuck under the hood when you close it. You have to manually hold them away on one side, then the other. Nyet!
