those are the same tire with a different rim size. The very small difference is due to the different rim width used for measurements on that chart. Using a wider rim results in a wider section width measurement and a smaller overall diameter.

I just had the 33" BFG KM2's 305/60R18 put on today. I have 1.75" front and .75" rear daystar lifts and my tires barely clear the brake lines and rub the sway bar at full right and left turn. My spidertrax 1.5" spacers won't be here till Thurs. and I hope they will fix my problem.

The spacers will fix the problem.

I have been using the 1.5" spydertrax spacers for over half a year and wheel'd them hard with NO problems.

Btw with NO mods, while fully stock my front tires still rubbed on the sway bar a bit at full stuff and lock.

You can clearance the brake lines very easy. Just bend the steel where the brake line comes off the frame a little bit. And your wheel spacers will fix your problem. Your stock wheels have 6.25" of backspacing. So, either the 1.25" or 1.5" wheel spacers will correct your problem. My advice on wheel spacers is to not allow the use of impact tools on them at all. There is a possiblity of them cracking when an impact gun is used for the lugs. Wheels should be torqued anyway regardless of installation method.

This last post brings up a good point for those considering mounting 12.5" wide tires on stock rims. The stock rims are about a 1/2" narrower than recommended. Not a huge deal but, it does have it's drawbacks. The wheels don't have the correct backspacing to deal with wider tires. So, wheel spacers are required. Wheel spacers are about $100.00 a set of 2. That $200.00 in wheel spacers will go a long way toward buying new wheels. Then whatever you sell your factory ones for will bring in more $$$. Then the savings of buying 16" tires vs. 17" or 18" will yield even more savings. So you could have the correct setup(safer) without costing any more money than doing it the other way. And you get to have the rims you want instead of what your stuck with.

I just heard back from the guy who owns the Jeep who's picture i posted earlier. His KM2s (285/75 16) measure 10" wide section width and 7" wide tread mounted on a 16x8 wheel).

A Pro Comp Mud terrain in the same size has a tread width of 8.9" and a section with of 11.3". I'm not sure why but the KM 2's seem to be narrower across the board.

I've never seen any other size of this model tire in person... so it would be interesting for other KM2 owners to chime in on their tread width/tire size as BFG does not have tread width measurements on thier website. Now I think I know why.

If you con the SCC guys into helping you install the lift, you could do a TON with 2500. I put mine together for about 1800, and that's with 3" of lift, adjustable track bars, new rims and 35's.

I'd love to help you out, I moved at the wrong time. You better get going so that you can have that beast ready by the 17th of Jan!

I went through the whole tire/rim width/backspacing crap when I did mine, so if you have any more questions, give me a call.
