I just bought some 315/70/17's mounted on stock Moab wheels, i do not have the extra cash right now to get a full bumper and carrier combo, so what do i need to make my stock carrier work for a while?

I went through it too and just had to buy the carrier fast I went( or fab ) still love it ! Attachment 418008 you don't need the bumper

If you don't want to cut your stock carrier up (which you would have to do with most of those brackets) I would see if you can buy one wheel spacer 1.25-1.75". I ran a 1.25" spacer with 315's and it worked great, tire still fits in the bumper notch and under the 3rd brake light

 

the further out yo go with the already heavy tire will pop the door some times from what ive seen in pics

they may get you by but I wouldn't chance it a door is 1500 and then youl still need to buy the carrier

 

I have the Bestop carrier. It's cheaper than the other alternative. IMO the weight doesn't destroy the tailgate. It's the vibration from the tire not touching the isolators.

 

Here is 13" wide tire 33.5" tall on my stock wheel using a wheel spacer 1.25" no issues

That's why he should use a 1.25 spacer, still snuggs up against the rubber isolators

You can get a bracket that moves it up and out. They aren't expensive. Don't forget the extended bump stops for the tire

 

I did the rugged ridge one, worked however the 2 bolts that hold the wheel plate to the spare mount part of the bracket are weled to the plate and started to pull through after a while.
