Default Left turn

So 2007 Jku rubi needed some new shoes. I went with the ridge grapplers. Since ever blue moon while making a slow left turn (u-turn around traffic cir) the jeep steering kinda locks up. So u have to muscle it with both hands. After turn is done it goes back to normal. Odd is it's only left turns. Has happened about five times now. Any ideas?

Sounds like your tie rod might be rubbing on the Diff cover. Or something like that. Look for places the paint is rubbed on your draglink and tie rod, or have someone work the steering while you look for contact.

How big are the tires and do you have a lift installed? How many miles on your rig?

If you have a simple budget boost or economy lift you might be running into an issue of requiring castor correction. The Ridge Grapplers have a lot of grip so if the attack angle is too low your low speed steering is going to be terrible. With a 35x12.5 you would want between 5&6 degrees castor.

If you're high milage with a 2007, you might need a power steering pump if it can't keep up at engine idle.
