Default Which lift to get?

Ok, guy’s I need your help I’m not sure which lift to get between the skyjacker 2.5 lift or the teraflex budget lift both with shocks.

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_0000.htm

The reason I’m thinking of going with the skyjacker is it seems to me more of a real lift as opposed to just putting spaces and using the stock springs also I tow boat and a pop up trailer (No,not at the same time ) when I hook either of them up to the jeep it tends to sag in the back like a reverse rake effect, I’m hoping that by using the skyjacker lift since it has stiffer springs it will help with that.

Am I assuming right? Or should I just go with the teraflex and save a few $$$.

The Skyjacker kit requires you to get new shocks and therefore cost about twice as much as the TeraFlex kit. Also, by comparison, the TeraFlex kit comes way more complete than the Skyjacker kit. Granted, you do get new coils with the Skyjacker kit but the TeraFlex give you shock adapters, rear brake line extension brackets and new longer rear sway bar links. I have run the TeraFlex kit and can tell you that it is a great buy and performs well. As far as the sag you have in the back goes when loaded down, no kit can prevent that and still offer a comfortable ride.

These guys got me wanting one and for around $225 for 2.5 inches higher getting me into 35's. I getting mine ordered tomorrow for that cheap.

Its not just me on this...other people have heard things about the Skyjacker stuff

Also, as for sagging in the back, I pull a 5x8 trailer with a Yamaha 660 grizzly on it but its not really that heavy so i'm not to worried.

Guys

Just an FYI. I called Quadratec two days ago to check to see if their TeraFlex kit came with the longer sway bar links since I had seen some earlier posts stating that they were not included in earlier kits. The guy I spoke with (can't remember name ) told me that it did not. I then called David at Northridge and he assured me that their TeraFlex kit did include the links. Price was better also and had free shipping. Hope this helps.

reynolr,
I'm really new here, but your 2.5 Tera kit came with everything. What was the price on this kit and where can I get one? I'm wanting one and I'll apreciate any help I can get.

I know I'm going back on my recent words about Skyjacker but I saw some 3.5 inch springs on Ebay for $325 shipped. I'm sure you would have to get shocks but the springs seem pretty good in price.

Here's the link to the TeraFlex 2.5" BB from Northridge 4x4. All you have to do is choose if you are interested in the kit with the new shocks or if you only want the shock extensions. David at Northridge can answer any questions that you might have about this kit (or any other products they sale for that matter). Good luck.

I would order anything from Northridge. David actually contacted me to talk about my order and to work things out so I could get my stuff in a timely manner. That's more than I can say about ANY of the "catalog" places. The price was about the same but I saved the exaggerated shipping charges others have by ordering through Northridge (FREE!!).

Actually, you would need to get more than just new longer shocks. In order to run coils this tall, you really need at bare minimum rear brake line extension brackets and bump stop extensions as well. Longer sway bar links is definitely high up on the list from there as well as front adjustable control arms and front and rear adjustable track bars.

Thanks for the help guys

reynolr,
I'm going on that site right now and getting that kit.

wayoflife,
I think I'm stuck in import mode. I'm still learning about 4x4's and I had one back in 97, I had a new nissan. I got rid of it in 2001 for a Dakota 2 wheel. I am now in my Jeep and I'm never going back. I still have my 2001 dakota now with 408 stroker, a 2006 civic si, 1967 chevy swb pickup, and of couse my better ride....my jeep.
