Default Lift for my unlimited

Hi Guys, first of all, excuse me for my bad english, i'm writeing from Italy.
I have a question for you:
I have a Jk unlimited diesel with 35" Cooper tyres fitted on ET + 20 rims and a Tough Dog 2" lift.
I would like upgrade my lift with a 4" OME lift.
What you think about? I use my Jk every day in the trip home - job, with a 4" lift, the Jeep will have again a good handling on road?
If i will install a 2"lift, i must also changhe the drive shaft? (Remember that si unlimited) I must also change the control arms? If yes, which one you recommend me?

Thank's in advance

Hi

Yes, a good and properly installed 4" lift will give you good handling on roads.
In fact, with the 4" lift, my 4-dr now handles better than it did before the lift.

( I also installed the Full Traction CRC, which improved directional stability, so steering is much better.

I believe that OME have different coil springs, so you may want to choose the softest.
EVO also have relatively soft coils, and so does Full Traction.
The ride quality is, however, more influenced by the shock absorbers than by the coils. If you get shocks that can be re-valved, you can have them tuned, in case you find the need for it.

For 2" lift you don't have to change drive shafts.
For 4" lift on a 4-dr, changing the front drive shaft is highly recommended.
I use the JE Reel #1350.
If you don't drive offroad, or only on easy trails, the #1310 would be good enough.

Yes, you need adjustable arms for 4" lift.
I use the Full Traction (4" lift and arms) and am very happy with it.

Thank's Gjeep.

And instead, what you think if i put 4 spacers of 1" in top of my actually coil springs (now i have a 2" tough dog's lift) and i change the shocks?
I will arrive to 3" lift.
Could be a good solution?

This is a very subjective decision... so you may get different opinions. I can only give my personal view on this.

I'd rather do it right, than "patch" something to improve a not-so-perfect situation.
If you care about ride quality and road handling, I think that a good and complete set of 4" lift will give a better result.

When you buy the lift together with the shocks (OME for example), you get the shocks already valved for the specific coils.

With a 3" lift, it's still recommended to replace the front drive shaft.
I see that you are in northern Italy - the snow can certainly justify a Jeep...
One tough drive on heavy snow covered roads, may bring the original front drive shaft over the limit, and get you stuck.

I didn't knew that a 3" lift require a New front drive shaft. That change a little bit my project: i could start to change the control arms and, as second step, change coil springs and shocks
