Default Lifts is it true performance wise?

I was talking to some guys at Absolute offroad and a couple of other guys at the shop and they said that if I wanted to do a lift from 2-3 inches all I would really need is a budget boost because if I got a coil lift for 3 inches there wouldn't be a big difference in performance offroad. I know the coil lifts such as terraflex which I intend to install gives more than the advertised height. So the question is are BB and coil lifts really equal performance wise offroad? I know the shocks really help the flex and disconnecting, and the ride on a coil lift would be smoother I suppose.

Thanks

Matt

The problem is the BB will not support the weight of a winch and bumpers. The stock springs will not support the extra weight. Many of us have started with the BB and had to buy the springs. Save your money and buy springs. Good Luck with your decision.

Save your money and get an entire kit. With springs and shocks and lower control arms..

Yeah true heavier bumpers and more weight will cause the BB to sag, but I guess for a JK that will be more on the stock side a BB would be fine. I guess I'll just buy the Terra Coil Kit

Go with the coil lift. You will only cry one if you buy it.

Absolute offroad is full of shit. They tried that same line on me. Either blow 5K to 6K on there 3.5 or above rockkrawler kits with driveshafts or here is our cheesy daystar spacer lift. They try to talk down the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift because they do not sell it. I can tell you for certain that the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift is going to blow away any spacer lift and you will not have driveshaft issues or any of the other issues that come with the bigger RK kits.

Take your Jeep somewhere else. Plenty of Teraflex dealers in AZ or we can do a wrenching party for you to get it installed and you will spend a fraction of what Mr. Daro is trying to get you to spend. If you want you can drive my JK with the Teraflex 2.5 coil and check it out. Get the Teraflex 2.5 coil lift. It's perfect for street and offroad JK.

There is no way any budget boost from any manuf equals or out performs a full TF 2.5 coils and shocks lift. I call bs.

Agree. I will join that wrenching party. I am in Phoenix and installed mine and my girlfriends 2.5 teraflex coil lift on our jeeps and they are perfect. I picked ours up for 675.00 each with the coils, shocks, and steering stabilizer from the jeep dealership. They beat 4wd and quadratecs price. Hers is our mall crawler and mine we beat the hell out of. I would highly recommend and would be more than happy to help install. Can do a complete kit in 3-3.5 hours. Great install! Great product! Do not do a budget boost! Pm with any questions
