Default Locker Reprogram

Can anyone tell me how, or is it possible, to program my lockers so that in any gear configuration or sway bar lock I can simply lock my diff(s) with just having to be below a preset speed EG <20mph? I have HPT but the scanner does not get me there but it does let me set TPMS settings down to 15PSI.

Have you searched up "rubicon locker bypass"? I think that to do the bypass you have to install new switch anyhow, but I have not scrutinized that mod much since I never had a rubi. At that point it just seems easier to me to run the lockers directly off separate switches completely and not mess with any of the rubi safety features.

I do not believe any of the programmers can simply "option" around the rubi safety precautions.

Resharp - just wanted the lockers to stay engaged in high range as we switch from low to high often and now with my extra power I can hit a mudhole in high range and not stall out like the V6 would. Low range, of course, is not an issue and she changes gear about 3 times in a mudhole according to a trip trail leader watching me. Love that Chevvy power .... and economy.

The rubi "safety" features with the lockers is one thing I'm glad I don't deal with. I hit a switch and that sucker is locked.....even in 2WD if I wanted. The stupid "have to be in 4Lo" and "rear has to be locked to lock the front" is kinda redonk. I really think you are much better off cutting the wires and running them directly to a separate switch that you trigger at will. The only thing I'd say about that is I'm not sure if you rubi guys have any ill consequences in doing that with the factory harnesses thinking something ain't right. Maybe someone else will chime in. I am almost certain though that there isn't a programmer that will allow what you want.

The Jscan app will do this. I have been running it for over a year. Love to wheel in 2wd locked.

Can you take a screen shot of the setting in Jscan? I've looked through my app and have never seen a spot to change that. If Jscan can do that, pretty handy. I'm a bit surprised.

The app does not use the factory switches. Once connected you go to the Trail View. By touching the green dot for sway bar or axle it will operate the desired item.

Ah, I see what you're saying. Not a setting you change in the computer, but you're just triggering the lockers on/off through the traildash feature of the app. Interesting. Thanks for chiming in. I learned something new today.

I did the Rubi locker mod years ago, by tapping switches into the factory harness. Never had any issues.

Never really used it in the rocks though. When I'm in the rocks, the Jeep pretty much stays in 4lo all day anyway, and I just use the factory switches.

Always figured I would use it more playing in the mud or sand, but my Jeep never really sees mud or sand.

Thanks all. I will go with the switch mod to pull the relays in.
