Default Lockers?

Looking to lock my 07 Sahara, probably only off road 30% of the time but want to be locked when I am wheeling. I dont do anything crazy so dont want to dump alot of cash.

Just looking for some input and peoples experience in what they have/had.

More info on your needs, use and budget might help.

The Detroit Truetrac, Detroit Locker, and ARB/E-Locker would be good places to start in their respective categories.

I dont do anything crazy so dont want to dump alot of cash.
But from that statement, a pair of truetracs might be the way to go.

When I wheel its just mild hill climbing and trails, no...im not saying I wheel 109 days a year, im saying its more on than off road. Im not looking to spend 1k, just something that will get me locked when im climbing. I dont go bouncing off of rocks and get out of hand so im not looking for something serious. Just something that will do the job when needed.

I run 35s on stock gears.

I was looking into lunchbox lockers but dont like the idea of the clicking sound, when turning...no matter how loud or agressive the noise is.

what terrain? Crawling, mud, sand, etc., etc.? What's " not a lot of cash"? For some, that's less than $500 for others, it's around $5k. If you are t in serious terrain, a winch may be easier and have more uses for you. And, not too serious yet 30% of the time? 120 days a year or so? Still, depends on the terrain.

Explained above, I guess I should just take back that "30%" off road thing. What im trying to get at is the jeep is more daily driven than a off road vehicle. Yes, a few times a month I go to the local off road park, but havent logged how many times yearly it was.
