locking lugs

debating if i want them or not, seems like yes might slow them down, but then again if they break a stud off to get my wheels is this going to be a bigger problem

I vote yes, and especially on your spare, it is an excellent deterrent, and will slow them a lot!!... if someone really really wants them they will get them no matter what... A friend of mine had his entire car stolen just so the thiefs could take his wheels and tires.

If they bad guys want them...they're gonna get them no matter what kind of security you have. Thats why you get good car insurance. As Chris Rock says...insurance is also known as, "In case shiet happens" lol

Gorilla and Mcguard wheels locks. My dad has gorilla and I have mcguard. I think the mcguard has the better warranty...

I plan on getting locking lugs soon.....

I have a set of the Mopar Mcgards that will go on when the new wheels get here!

After waking up one morning (many years ago) to find my old YJ sitting in the driveway up on blocks, I'll never NOT use locking lugs on ALL of my tires. The only tire they left was the spare.....it was the ONLY one with a locking lug... :banghead:

Locking lugs........

Been the question of the week on my brain too........

I've both had and not had them on other vehicles: just thinking though with what seems to be at least some kind of demad out there for Stock Rubi's.............. I think I'm gonna. But just as nearly everyone above has said--- if a determined thief want 'em-- he's gonna get 'em and the lugs will only slow...but not stop him. I just its slow 'enuff for me to make it out there with some <cough> persuasion to the confrontation:brows:

I have always run one on the spare, mainly to keep opportunists from stealing it for a quick $50 on eBay. As for the rest of the Jeep, I haven't but mine is always garaged and they are stock. Down the road I may reconsider when I have big money invested in wheels/tires.

My thinking on these is that it's just like the alarm on my house: The would-be thief will go to the next one down the road to avoid the hassle with my security devices. I hope.
