Default LoD fromt bumper

Stuck between deciding on the stubby and mid-width for the front bumper. Anyone running any one o these two and how do you like it? Benefits of one over the other? Drawbacks?

Thanks in advance!

Stubs more clearance less protection, mid-width can get away with certain states bumper laws, offers more protection then the stubs, but still allows for clearance of larger tires unlike a full-width. I ran the mid width for a long time and liked it a lot, but knew I'd be moving up to larger tires and decided that for my own personal needs a stubby was the only way to go.

I have the mid-width and really like it. I've run some pretty narly trails and never felt like it limited my approach angle. I run 35's and they've never come close to rubbing. I'm sure 37's would be fine too. I like the look of it a lot more than the stubby. The lines flow really well the rest of the jeep whereas the stubby looks a little awkward to me.

I will be able to tell you about 37 on the trails in a couple weeks. They look fairly close now.....

I run 35s and never had rubbing issues at full flex on my mid width. The only think I don't like about the stubby is it weighs about 25 pounds more than the mid width (I know, doesn't make sense)

And they all have the recessed slot for a winch so it doesn't block the radiator correct?

I have the mid-width sitting in the garage. Not installed yet, but I can say it looks gorgeous!

Something else to consider is that the stubby sticks further forward than the mid-width so it can house both the fogs and the recessed winch.

And from what I've seen it's possible to stick some rigid duallys in there to replace the factory fogs but you need some kind of specialty bracket.

Yup the bracket made by BDF. Northridge is the only seller of it
