Arms really don't have anything to do with "flex" or increasing articulation on a short arm. Different configurations may bind a bit more then others but your suspension travel will stay the same.
They just hold your axle in place.

Check out Clayton's long arm upgrade. It comes with a new heavy duty crossmember that places the arms way up inside the cross-member that enables more clearance.

They won't help your axle droop any more then a short arm will. They do ride nice though on road and off.

LOL! upgrade. There is no such thing as upgrading a short arm kit to a long arm kit. You are buying a whole new set up.

Upgrade kits have new brackets and arms; that's it. Clayton incorporates a new cross member.

Full blown long arm kits are have the springs and all the other hardware that is on short arms kits unless you get a 3 link rear type link Rock Krawler.

Not really. You can keep the existing coils, shocks, longer brake lines, bump stops, and adj track bars / brackets.

Only thing you are changing is replacing the 8 control arms and their mounting points.

I don't look or feel bad, you are still left with a set of arms after that "upgrade". I just don't drink the kool-aid about rock krawlers kits being upgradeable as a selling point. You can do the same thing with clayton, synergy, teraflex, and on and on. You can even make your own long arms and pick up new control arm mounts from ballistic, genright, synergy and many others.

The fool is the one that is constantly buying different bolt on things thinking somehow it will give them more "flex". Knowledge of suspensions systems and how they work will go a lot farther then any bolt on kit will.
