Looking to upgrade my seats
I have a 2008 rubicon with the airbag seats so I was wondering if I would have any problems removing these seats and replacing with aftermarket seats.
What I'm looking for in a seat: A bolster "sport" bucket seat ability to use stock seat belts Bolt in application Reclineable Water resistant material All black w/ headrest Is there an seat out there that fits this bill? |
you mean something like this?
http://project-jk.com/gallery2/main...._itemId=137292 mastercraft seats allow you to install them up front using the factory brackets and in the rear, you can either get a matching seat cover or, get a bracket that will allow you to install bucket seats. http://project-jk.com/jeep-jk-write-...ation-write-up |
Wayoflife--
That picture is awesome! I would love to do something like that once my new JK arrives.....One question for you; Do the back seats fold forward and flat like the seats from the factory do? (Or at least fold forward and a little flat??) It kind'ave looks from the design of the bolsters in both the seat itself and the back piece that this is not the case.......(?) THanks for you help! any other pics of the rear bucket seats? Maybe an angle from the tailgate towards the front?

If you want Vinyl seats, Corbeau has some and they have brackets for the JK. One of their suspension seats (Baja RS) is reclineable and comes in black vinyl. They also have race/sport type reclining seats (A4, CR1, LG1, etc), but if you want them to be water proof you'll have to pay more for leather.

Simpson sells some race seats with marine grade vinyl. They seem nice but I haven't ever seen them in person. They also don't make adapters for the Jeep. http://simpsonraceproducts.com/image...ite_Red_SQ.jpg |
WOL, I love that setup! Have you ever gotten those seats wet before? I wonder if you treat the cloth with scotch guard if it would help in making them water repellent.
Does anyone have any pics with some Corbeau seats installed? I read somewhere that aftermarkes seats sometimes look "small" in the jeep but those mastercraft certainly dont. They look great! |
someone must have some pics of aftermarket seats? How bout opinions on lumbar support?

Hey eddie, could you send some of those seats my way:brows:
