MBRP exhaust just installed
Got the SS exhaust today and put it on in about an 1.5 hours. From what I read on here, I didn't even mess with the band at the cat, I just cut it off. The rest was pretty smooth, my only slow up, as usual was tool related (trying to find the right one). A little lube on the hangers and a few other spots and the stock was off. The mbrp matched up well.
It is a bit loud at slower speeds than I thought it would be, not so at hwy speed. I'm excited to get it installed, unlike most I don't expect to see any improvement in performance or mpg.
I took advantage of the muffler being off and tightened up the bolts on my smittybilt bumper.

Just helped my buddy install a Magnaflow exhaust on his four door this evening.
To get the rubber exhaust isolators off, put a rubber mallet or wedge of some sort next to the bracket, then use a flat blade screwdriver to pry against the mallet or wedge near the hanger/isolator, it will give you more leverage. Lube them up first with some WD-40 or something similar to get them more pliable and slippery. Don't want to rip them.
Kind of hard to describe...sorry.
My buddy wasn't saving his factory exhaust so we just cut the stock hangers on the exhaust, it helped so you aren't fighting with the exhaust itself.

When I was changing my exhaust, found that hitting them with Wd-40 and waiting about 15 minutes and then hit them again right before I tried removing. I also pulled down on the hanger to elongate the hanger hole and then pulled and rotated out. No tools used, just one hand on the pipe and one on thenhanger
I used a large pair of pliers to push the rubber over the hanger. For other words put one side of the jaw on the metal hanger and the other over the rubber, apply enough force to push the metal hanger through the hole. Once you get the lip of the head most of the way through the hole (thats what she said
) you should be able to work it off.
Work on the hangers first before you mess with the pipe, if you try to slide the muff off first it will cause the hangers to pull and not give enough movement to get them free, and the WD-40 is a must.
hope this helps
