Mesh Bikini TOP???? Bestop or Rampage?
 

Hey all,

I am looking for a Mesh Bikini Top for my JK. I have 2 kids and dont want to scorch them riding around with the top down all the time.

Which Mesh Top would you recommend? The Bestop or the Rampage or Other?

There are a lot of threads on this forum about the Bestop Safari ... mostly people bitching about it .. I have it ... not happy ... just my opinion

Why arent you happy with it?

Way too tight ... I'm 6'2" 220 lbs .. not fat .. had to work like hell to get it on ... left ot on for two days and then got caught in the rain ... tried to remove it and put the soft top up ... effin thing was on so tight I got a small rip removing it .. also, if you have an '09 JK you will have to cut the plastic side bar to get it to fit in the side channel .. not a big deal but inconvient and the result of poor quality ...

I got the Bestop Mesh...and have been happy....keeps my kids cool. Yes it was a Bee with a itch to get on the first time into the softop window channels as it was so damn tight!!!!.....BUT the OEM softop was like that the first time as well a real bear and tight! Also, it was a be a bit of a pain getting off but you just have to find a good routine to take the top off!

The Bestop safari mesh top fits nice and looks stock and as you use it more and more it get's easier to put on and remove!!

I have the Bestop Safari mess top on my hard top 4 door . my only compliant is when there is a cloud burst I get wet.

That is the fun part....driving in the heat...and getting a nice mist shower inside the Jeep!!!

Have you taken a look at the DirtyDog 4x4...I just got mine for the 2 dr and like it better than the bestop one.....no flapping and I can leave it on when I put the top back up....and it's made real nice and less expensive.:thumbsup:

it comes 1 pce front 2 or 4 dr.....2pce front back 2 or 4 dr.....1 pce front and back 4dr.....3pce front back and cargo 4 dr

The Dirty Dog looks very similar to the spider web ... wish I could tell which was better
