Default coil springs and sway bar

My coil springs are bad and the jeep is not sitting level. Could this be preventing the sway bar from reconnecting?

Just have someone push up or pull down on the side where you can't get the link in. This is normal, I always need buddy assistance when reconnecting the links after a wheeling trip.
