Default Mopar Offroad Rear bumper latch rattle.

I just installed the Mopar Offroad Rear bumper. The latch rattles like crazy, anyone have this issue yet and have a quick fix for it?

They are touching the tailgate, pretty snug actually.

I have the same issue. Stoppers are on and the tire is squeezed against the arm. The pin that keeps the tire carrier in the bumper (drivers side) is where the rattle is.

There are two versions of the bumper. One with the mounting holes and one without.... my thoughts is you have the non-carrier version if it is from the dealership lot.

I'll take some pics for you if you want, but as stated above there are two versions of the bumper, which do you have? The tire carrier model will have a hole in the top of the passenger side.

Oh yea, and I fixed my rattle I think with adjusting the stops, I still have some Daystar bumpers coming just in case.

I'm not sure how to stop that rattling and I've tried everything, but I know it's annoying as heck...any suggestions?

The tire carrier kit will give you everything you need to mount. I new plate goes on the passenger side, bolts to the frame, and has the post for the arm to pivot on. It also includes a new 3rd brake light (from a TJ) that is extenable to fit a 35" tire. It's easy to install. Most difficult part is pressing the bushings in the tire carrier arm.

The best picture I've got. i can get some more tonight.

I have this same bumper, and it does not rattle at all. very easy to adjust if it did. its hard to suggest how to stop a rattle unless seing the actuall problem, but it shouldn't be that hard. are you missing parts? there's a plastic piece with holes that goes on top of the bumper where it latches. do you have that? without that piece and the bumpstops it would rattle. thats the only adjustment you need. I read before of a guy missing the washer that goes under the arm that holds the tire. that could also be a problem. (his bumper was installed at the dealership).
