This is probably a dumb question but heck i need an answer,
I have a 2.5'' teraflex coil lift with 35's and it looks a bit squished..
im looking for more flexing room but i would prefer not to do a bodylift
If i went with bigger coils would that lift me at all? or is there any other ways to do
this without a body lift?

Bigger coils is what lifts you jeep. Another good cheap way is a spacer that goes on top of the coils.

I had the same setup and ended up switching out for an OME HD coil lift which gave me much greater lift and travel. You can get more height with spacers, but if you are compressing the coils with the current load the spacers with not improve your flex much just height.

A coil spacer adds height to the suspension which lifts the entire chasis over the axles and the body lift just lifts the body. The coil spacer will improve your flex off roading but the body lift will just lift the tub (body) to accommodate larger tires. If you don't go offroad, the body lift will help with your height concerns, but if you flex your suspension on the trail I would recommend taller and/or stiffer coils.

If you are just looking to get rid of tire rub, high clearance (or cut stock) fender flares might be a more practical/affordable option.

Spring have nothing to do with flex. It comes down to shocks and bump stops. To get more droop from the suspension you need longer shocks.

To get more stuff from the suspension you need shorter bump stops. All springs are going to do is give you a higher stance and better ground clearance.

So if you want better flex, springs aren't the answer.

I have the same lift with 35's.

I thought it was a little too squatty so I added a 1" body lift. I still thought it could use another inch so I put 1" coil spacers on. I really like the way it is now.

2.5" lift

plus 1" BL

plus 1" coil spacer
