Aftermarket bumper on bent frame

Aftermarket bumper on bent frame
My frame, the front where you attach the four bolts to a bumper, is bent. It looks like a crumple zone so it's compacted and aimed upwards now.
Will I -need- to repair that part before I install an aftermarket bumper? My current frame is basically a bit turned up now because of it, can I install a new bumper knowing that I will have to do the same?

Depends how deep it's bent. You could always go with the poison spyder bfh front bumper. You have to cut frame to mount that one and get it welded then problem solved.

X2 on the PSC BFH front bumper. If it's bent beyond that you can buy the front ~14" frame section from Jeep. That would obviously be more work and involve some welding to cut the bent section out and install the new but it would be "right" when you get done. I cut my frame off at the grille so I'm partial to that approach.

As karls10jk said, it really depends on how bad it's bent. A frame shop can probably straighten for you. I straightened my old Scout frame with some come-a-longs and a tree before but obviously the end product wasn't perfect. If it was close I'd be tempted to try to pull it straight but you can't be sure what it did the frame alignment. It won't be any worse than it is now. Can you send a picture of what you're dealing with? I'm sure there someone on here that's run into this before.

You will have to straighten it out the best you can. the Woods bumper will fit and as you tighen down the bolts the bumper will mold to it. I know it doesn't make since, but when I purchased mine (bumper) it wasn't a tight fit until all the bolts were tighten down.
are you going to use you tow hooks with the bumper? If you use some tow hooks you might be able to fill the gap in, but i would get a torch and try to straighten it out best you can first.

Yes, I was going to keep my tow hooks and also get the shackle mounts.
Where can I find some tips etc for how to torch and try to bend back my frame?
