My 2 cents on 35's
Alright guys here it is my 2 cents on this widly disputed subject.... First I bought my 2007 JK Unlimited X in Oct 2006. I drove it 30 miles on the stock 29 inch tires, just to put on 33's. So 33x11.5x16 and a 3 inch lift for the past 2 years and 8 months. And yes 6 speed MANUAL with 4.10 gears. So yesterday I put on 35x12.5x16.....and LOVE it!!!! OK so I lost 6th gear until I hit 75-80 MPH. I dont care. As fpr everyday driving to work and the gym, there is ALMOST no loss of power. And on the trail today the extra groun clearance proved mighty handy. So if anyone is trying to decide if 35's will work with 4.10 and 6 speed man tranny my little ole 2 cents says HELL YES IT DOES!!!

As goofy as it sounds, for the 6 speed, I think 4.10s and 35s is a better combo for the street than 32s and 4.10s. Offroad though I'd like to have 4.56s or possibly 4.88s.
When my 6 speed rubi was stock 1st and 2nd were so low that I'd get left behind every time the light would turn green because I'd have to row through 3 gears to make it up to 25 mph shifting at 2,700 - 3,000 RPM. Not to mention that the JK tranny is about the slowest shifting manual I have ever seen in my life.
Now with the 35s 1st and 2nd are way more useable on the street and I easily keep up with traffic coming off a light. There is some power loss when you're cruising at 1,600 RPM and come to a hill compared to the 32s but it's not bad at all. When you're going 40 and want to spin it up to 60 it's a bit slower as well but again nothing major.
It's definately liveable with 4.10s and 35s on the 6 speed which makes sense since it's really the same overall ratio as 3.73s and 32s which a lot of jeeps come stock with.

When I upgraded to 35's I thought the JK was really weak! I couldn't take it. I had put everything else on hold in order to re-gear. But, then I got superchips and now, I don't even feel like re-gearing at all. Try it out, spending 300 bucks is a lot better that 1200 plus to re-gear.

x2. I drove about 15 miles with auto/3.73/35s before I fired up the Flashpaq. Re-gear went to the back of the to-do list. (maybe when I throw a rear locker in....)

Heck, I use 6th even below 50 mph all the time, the Jeep's got pretty good torque with the Hypertec on premium below 2K, and since I've been driving with no muffler, it seems even better.
And of course it has more legs in 1st and 2cnd and you get up to speed without having to row the heck out of the shifter.
And for those 80mph interstate commutes it's very good, quick downshift to 5th if you need a little power, but it's very relaxed at 75-80mph.
The real problem with 6th, 4.10s and 35" tires is at 55-65mph up a hill, you just have to downshift to 5th or 4th even if you want to do more than hold/lose speed. It's as much aerodynamic drag as it's gears or hp.
Unfortunately, 4.56/4.88 gears don't really fix this, but 5th is much better with the change.
6speed with 4.10 gears is turning almost the same rpm as the 5.13 auto guys in top gear, the auto maybe 100 rpm higher. I'm surprised more of the auto guys don't go 5.38 with 35s, it looks like a match in heaven for them.
I'd say 4.56 or 4.88 gears are the best compromise, unless you never go over 70mph then you want 5.13s for sure for power.
Th 5.13 6-speed heavy 2-door I drove was great, almost never used first on the street, pulled like a mule in any gear but 6th, but it was screaming along at 3400rpm on the interstate. Offroad in 4LO/1st gear, get out and walk ahead to your campsite, the Jeep will be along later!

I agree, my 35's and 3.73's/6-speed are decent for now. I am still researching the Superchip, it may go on my must-have list once I see enough postive feedback. This setup will suit my needs for a while...
