Default My esp solution

so i have done some reading on how to dis-able the esp system,my luck the 2007 from what i understand doesnt have a full off option in 2 wheel drive.even if it did like the 2008 and obove it seems to be a real pain to do so .so i pulled the fuse to the system and really like not having it go off around the off camber turns up and down the mountains,on the other hand i do think its a great safety feature that could save your butt. for the most part it never goes off i have a 3.25 inch lift with 35's,but them dang mountains and my heavy foot drives the esp crazy, in return driving me crazy..lol..heres what i done i removed the fuse then inserted 2 female connectors where the fuse went, put male connectors to go in the origanal fuse, works very nicely then ran a toggle switch to my center console. i can disable the esp as easy as hitting the light switch, to reactivate it i do have to stop turn off the jeep and it will come back on as soon as you hit around 10 mph, i was hoping it would reset while still going down the road without stopping. now i can do that but i have a auto so i put the jeep in nuetral and while coasting turn off the key then restart the jeep , the esp reactivates immediatly. remember you loose power brake and steering so a straight road would be best..lol. for you guys with sticks just push the clutch turn the key off and on then let out the clutch.all and all i think it has improved my driving experience with my jeep , it on when i want and off when i want without doing that crazy combonation that the 2008 and up have , no doubt you have to stop to do all that stuff.. heres a feew pics to give an ideal of what i did , only modification was cutting a small slot in fuse box cover for wires to come out, and easily remove to take back to factory if you need warranty work done.

Nice, I just cut the purple and blue wire under the dash and put a switch in. It was abit easier.

Forget the warranty; If you have an accident, you could have BIG troubles with your insurance Company if the Jeep has an inspection.

Mine doesn't even go off anymore since putting TF springs in front.

ESP is awesome on the road. You don't know what you are talking about. It's not because members in this forum don't like it that it's automaticaly junk.

ESP has a place.....specially for the majority of JK owners that don't go offroad or mod their rig...you know the mall hoppers, that need every piece of technology to aid in maintaining control during that emergency manoeuvre....

For most of us here, we prefer the ol drive by the seat of your pants technique, and react when required without freaking out, so the ESP disable is the way to go.

I installed the Custom ESP disable mod quite a while back, and mostly use it just for wheelin. Just flick the switch....ESP free.....reset your switch and restart your rig, and your back to OEM settings.

My switch is hidden, up under the dash, therefore no mechanic or technician could ever know it is there....even if they opened up the bundle of wires where I added the switch, they would be hard pressed to find my connection.

The switch is the easiest and most hassle free way to disable the system.

ESP is for people who don't know how to drive properly then sue the vehicle manufacturer after an accident because the vehicle didn't drive itself.
I can drive better than a computer.
