These are 33x12.5-R17 Cooper STT's on a TeraFlex 3" Coil lift.

I was afraid it was going to look really stupid until the 33's wore down and i got 35's.

But now... I am considering sticking with the 33's, as much as i want the 35's they represent a considerable investment for me. I would need to regear, recalibrate, etc. The 33's work well, the thing will articulate all over hell and back with no rubbing, and i really dont think they look to small.

Keep in mind that this is a 3" Teraflex coil lift, which run a little on the high side(i think i got closer to 4), but i have aftermarket bumpers and full skids, which do weigh it down some, so my actuall total lift i couldnt tell you in comparrison to stock.

I am sure others will disagree, but i like the way my Jeep looks. Always planned on the 35's, but now i am just not so sure.

285/75R16's same width and diameter as 285/70R17's. I am running a 2" spacer lift and get a little rubbbing on the front flares at full flex.

i love the look of your Jeep, thats what i am looking for. id rather have 33s than 35 becuz of the flex/cost. i wonder if i should do the 2 or the 2.5 TF...i wont have all the added weight you got...well, i am makin a bumper out of 2x6x.25 steel tubing...what ya think?

I had the same tires on with my RE 2" puck lift, same bumpers and skids, i had no rubbing issues.

I am running Spidertrax spacers though, so my backspacing is effectively 4.75"

I think either lift would be fine with 33's. (as long as you watch your backspacing)

I have seen Jeepin' Dad's jk in person at last years JKFest, his looked great (i like the rack) He did a lot with it without any issues that i recall.

Go with the 2.5 TF over the 2, I bet the cost difference is minimal. If you find that it still is not enough lift for full flex consider the body lift spacers and/or fender chop (there is a good write up on the Project-JK forum), you could buy flat fenders but that is pricey.

The MORE 1 inch body lift was mt first mod and took me like 5 hours to do because I did not follow the instructions.

You should not care if it "looks stupid" as long as it serves the function you need to use it for.

I already got the spidertrax spacers...i like the spring lifts better than the puck lifts, ill prolly go with one of them. now i just gotta decide between Rustys and Teraflex.

your right about that, i just want it to look "right" too. ive ready alot of stuff of people sayin they get more than 2.5 of lift on the two door...is that right?

I prefer the Coils myself as well, my BB was a temporary lift from day one, i never intended to keep it long. My ultimate goal was a 3" TeraFlex coil lift, i just used the pucks as a bandaid until i could afford the lift i really wanted.

Either lift will serve you well.

TeraFlex kits tend to run a little on the high side, there are tons of threads on this. IIRC Joe gave an idea once about what the 2.5" kit actually netted, but i cant seem to find that exact post.

I have heard that some of the lift kits get a little more in the beginning before the springs starts sagging a little.

I did get 4 inches of lift in the front from the Skyjacker kit, but the new winch and bumper took care of that.

A suspension lift is the way to go.
