Need help on tires
 

Alrightt i have a jk saraha unlimited
it came with the dana 44 rear end with 3.73 gears
i just got my 3 inch lift and getting tires next month
does anyone know how 35's affect everything
right now i would say im getting like 16mpg in the city and 19 highway
just trying to asked the experienced and get some ideas

mileage will drop and if you have an auto you may want to regear, a six speed and you may find it tolerable.

im kind of in the same situation..

regear? is that expensive?
with my mods that ive done to it so far...i get around 18-18.6 mpg in town..

It costs about as much in labor as it does for the parts, which is what makes it somewhat expensive. Expect to pay around $1000 for both the gears and labor. It can vary depending on labor rates. Sometimes its hard to find places that will do it also - I've found many places that flat out refuse to regear because if they screw it up its an expensive screw up.

We had close to the same convo today while wheelin I have a 2 door rubicon w 6.5 inch lift but my friend wants a "badass look for his 4 door" he says he not going to wheel it much at all(??) he wants a 3 to 4 inch lift and some bigger tires we recommend 33 1250 but said 35 should be fine if he's on road yall agree he won't want to regear he has an auto... Let me know how your turns out so we can tell him how well it worked if you do 35s
