Default Need ideas for Hi-lift mount inside JKU w/ Trek top?

I've seen all of the posts showing the Hi-lift mounted across the top behind the rear roll bar but this will not work with the Trek top. The mount places the jack too high. Where are the owners of Trek tops on a JKU mounting Hi-lift jacks inside that is out of the way and easily accessible?

Pics please???

Subscribed! I am having the same thoughts. I like te idea of having it mounted to the rollbar but also have the trektop nx and dirty dog netting. I think there should be a way to have it mounted sort of hanging by the top bar. Basically upside down from the way it is usually done.

If you have a carrier that's the best place to mount it...haven't had the Trektop in years but I'll find some of my pics to show. Other that that I do you you can use a muffler clamp and mount it inside the cab. We did that when we ran the JK Experience last year.

I have it on the hood now but figured since I have the room that I should put it inside out of the weather.

Same boat. Way too much salt on the roads here in Canada for to want to put it on the hood though this is my current option if the roll bar option can't be done with a trektop. I would much rather out it inside

I just mounted mine yesterday on the roll bar using (2) 2" u-bolts from home depot. The way I have it mounted right now wont work for a trektop but I'm sure u could figure out something. There's a write up on here call $5 hi-lift mount.

For the green arrow pointing to the roll bar under my fire extinguisher is a place to mount a hi lift. Quadratec sells the brackets for it, I think its around $85 or so.

Default Mounting Options

Quadratec Exclusive JK-HLJM - Sport Cage Hi-Lift® Jack Mount for 07-10 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec

Has anyone come up with a better idea than this?

I too don't want hanging out on the hood nor vertical on the rear bumper. I have the TrekTop NX and some of the interior mounting ideas simply don't work. I attached a link above that shows the "Sport Cage" hi-lift brackets but am not paying $85 (don't forget about shipping) for this. I am planning on making a similar bracket out of 1/8" 6061 aluminum and coating it in Plasti-Dip.

The way this bracket is set up, it will now interfere with the TrekTop and will function very well with a hard top on also. The only downfall is that when you go to get gear out of the back, you will have to go around the jack.
