Default Need a little help ..jk front axle shaft removal

Hey all,

I’m in the process of installing inner axle sleeves on my 2016 JKU ... I’m having a hard time pulling out the front axle shafts... the unit bearings and everything else is off.. I’ve done this before on two other older Jk’s and it was never an issue ... this one feels like it’s got a C clip holding it in .. any ideas how to get this out?

Thanks in advance !!

matt

Give the hub a few taps (alternating direction) while pulling on the shaft.

Alternatively you can put the 3 unit bearing bolts back in, give them a few turns so the threads engage, keep the 13mm 12 point socket on the bolt(s) and hammer away. There are no c clips on JK axles.
