Default Shocks for JKU with 2.5 Rock Krawler Max Travel lift

Which shock would you pair with a rock krawler 2.5 max travel lift on a '13 JKU? Rancho 9000, Rancho 7000, Fox 2.0, or other? Which one and why?

My info: Jeep is daily driver. Minor wheeling, nothing major. Need to have the best road manners/ride possible but capable of handling offroad use. Something in the $90 to $125 a piece range.

Thanks.

I have the fox 2.0 I'm happy with them a little firm but not bad I wanted controlled handling and off road there great I'm running the 4-6 inch of lift shocks and flexes great with 11" of travel my only complaint is I didn't go with remote res. A lot of people complain about the bilstein 5100 can't say about the other ones don't know the price of the RK RRD shocks but heard good thing about them.

Try the Rock Krawler 2.0 shock. I believe they would fit your price range in the non reservoir version. I have the reservoir version on my JK with Rock Krawler 5.5" kit and 37s. It rides really well, personally better than with the bilsteins I used to have. I've no experience with fox shocks so I can't comment there.

I run Rancho 9000XLs with the 2.5" Max Travel and really like them. Great ride and I love the adjustability.

I would do the bilsteins or ranchos. I had no complaints with my bilsteins nor have I really seen anything other than good comments on them. I run fox 2.0 now and they are little firm on road but amazing offroad.

Default Bilstein 5100 Also

I have a 2.5 inch Coil / Shocks lift on a 2013 JKU and my Bilstein 5100s weren't available so I had EF9000 shocks on while I was waiting for my order to arrive. While I did not have any problems with the EF9000 shocks, the Bilsteins were hands down a significant improvement. I wasn't quite expecting that. The Bilsteins are reasonably priced and they are tuned for the Jeep wrangler from what I was told by 4 Wheel Parts.

I have heard nothing but good about the Fox shocks though for that price they better be golden

anyhoo thats my experience , hope it helps
