That makes sense. I only get to go wheeling maybe 2 or 3 times a month so maybe the gussets will be enough.

Also, I see you're running the General Grabbers. How do you like them? I was leaning towards BFG All Terrains or General Grabber AT2's (to save some money) and I came across the new Grabbers. I love the look of them but it seems like there isn't a whole lot of info out there on them since they're still fairly new.

Its "different" from what we see with our west coast friends but it can be equally devastating to your Jeep if you are not careful. The gussets and sleeves are a very good investment and not overly expensive. Maybe spend a few hundred for parts and install to prevent thousands in potential damage.

Trust me, if you go wheeling with the NE folks from the JKF or join a club, you will see plenty of rocks or.....and this can cause the outer C's to bend even more than rocks.....deep ruts on the trails where 90% of your jeep is being supported by one wheel.....

Hope to see you on the trails someday!
I'll be doing some research and some shopping around for sure. Good news for me is I have a buddy who is a welder by trade so that might save me a few bucks. Also, I'm surprised I've never seen your JK around before, I'm from CT but went to college at Bridgewater State.

Well at least you'll look good on the drive to work haha. The red letters look great (only with some color Jk's though). The one thing that kinda turned me off from them was the weight. They were decently heavier than most other tires of the same size.

Just north of Hartford, not far from the MA border.
