Default Nitto Mud Grapplers

Was thinking about running these once I make the jump to bigger tires, but their tires for a 15" rim are way wider than what I wanna run, so I may have to change my plans and go with a 16 or 17" rim. The only downside I see is that then I'm stuck with a D load range tire. I wanted to go with a C for good ride quality. How do they ride in a D load range? I wanna go with a 35x12.50 tire on a 8" wide wheel. I'd consider going with a 15"x10" wheel if Nitto made them in a 35x13.50 for that wheel size, but its a 35x14.50, way wider than I wanna go.

Other than the ride, yeah I know they are gonna be noisy, but I want something that I know will do good in mud, and something that will give me the piece of mind that its gonna be super durable, and something that will balance fairly easy (as apposed to Swampers).

What size are yours, and how is the ride with them? Mine is my daily driver, so I don't wanna be beat to death by it either.

It's all in the air pressure. I'm running 35x12.50x18's and love em, but I also run about only 28-30lbs in them in my Unlimited. Mine is also my D.D.

Some say "it's all in the air pressure." Well, I got news for you. You can make a difference in a D load rated tire with air pressure, but forget about making a difference with an E load rating....unless you run it near bout flat. Most D load rated tires call for 60 PSI max. The Jeep says 35 PSI on the doors. That's probably just right for a D rated tire.

does anyone make a steel 16" rim with 3.75" of backspacing? You can find 15" rims like that all day, but the 16's don't seem to go any fruther than 4". This would kinda hurt my plans for 35's with no lift and the xenon flares.

ProComp Steelies... I have them on my rig. Cant remember the model #, but hit up their site and you can find them pretty easily.
