Default Nitto Terra Grappler or Nitto Trail Grappler?

I am looking at getting the 285/70R17 tires for stock 2door Jeep. Need feedback from people using either the Terra or Trail grapplers. My big thing is noise and ride? For most part during work week I will be on Highway. Weekends will be trails and climbing in Midwest. I love the looks of the Trail, however I am also looking at noise and comfort issues. Please advise, plan on ordering tomorrow. Thanks! I may add a 2 to 2.5 lift down the road.

Trail Grapplers hands down if you plan on doing any kinda wheeling, if you were just on the street I would say go with the Terra's

I had trail grapplers on my ram 2500. Wear was excellent, they gave a nice hum on the road, but not too loud, and they looked awesome. Dig very well in the dirt. Lost about 2mpg with them but they were larger then stock.

Both are excellent tires. If your offroading is mild with little to no mud, the Terra Grapplers would be a better choice. If your offroading is more serious and includes a good bit of mud, go with the Trail Grapplers.

My 295/70/17 Terra Grapplers are just as quiet as stock SRAs. I love the look of Trail Grapplers, but my Terra Grapplers have handled everything I've thrown at them...

I just had the terra grapplers and they are absolutely horrible! Not bad on the road but If you ever try to go off road you are screwed! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY on terra crapplers.

The trail grapplers ride good, balance easy, and are quiet for a mud terrain. Off road they are just awesome

My next set of tires are going to be the trail grapplers for better offroad perf. My terra's have been awesome for an all terrain tire. The Terra's don't do good in mud, snow is good for an A/T, trails and rocks does great especially for an A/T. I'd base your choice off how much offroad you will or won't be doing. Ofcourse these are just my opinions. I like the second pic in showing how versatile the Terra's can be, even on the side walls with minimal trac. Nitto's are def the only tire I'll run
