Default Nitto Trail Grapplers-actual measurement on 35x12.5x17

I am ready to order these to replace my Duratracs that I am not happy with...wondering what the actual height is under load. Duratracs in 315/70/17 measured 33.5 with my setup. Also any feedback on ride would be appreciated. I searched and couldn't find the specifics I was looking for. This is a load range E compared to my D Duratracs, think there will be much difference in ride on the street? I am looking for a better ride/better balancing tire. Thanks in advance.

I have asked the smar questions my self. They say the wear is good for being a such big lug. They also say they are so loud, like a swarm of bees. I think the ride will be a little bumpy. I have not had these tires but think that they will be my next tire, if not the km2

Are you refering to the Nitto Mud grappler by mistake? I have heard the opposite about the trail grappler. Decently quiet and smooth ride.
The Nitto website has exact tire height specs, only your air pressure will change this slightly.

The Trail Grappler M/T blends some of the off-road performance of the Mud Grappler with the on-road comfort of the Terra Grappler to create a tire that is both aggressive and quiet. For off-road performance, the sidewall combines a 3-ply high turn-up construction with a thick rubber compound that cushions the tire and helps prevent punctures. On the tread surface, the blocks are configured to provide additional biting edges that command lateral stability and enhance forward traction. For on-road comfort, Nitto's engineers used advanced sound analysis equipment to reduce the noise levels commonly associated with off-road tires. The internal construction and tread design also help optimize treadlife. Two wide steel belts provide a stable base for the tire and increase tread strength. This advanced construction provides optimal uniformity and reduces irregular wear Click image for larger version

That's crazy. Did you try contacting Goodyear? I have a set of duratracs and I love them, no balancing issues at all. They are rather highly rated, especially on this forum. Sounds like you got a bad set

Same here, no problems balancing mine. 80 mph and they are smooth.

I have the trail Grapplers. 35x12.5 on 17" wheels. I really like them and would buy them again. I can't tell you how good the wear is cause I've only had them for a month. But they are not loud at all. I would buy then again for sure.
