Default No lift help!

Are there any write-ups that would help us put 35" tires on an 08 Rubi unlimited? We have short legs and do not want to lift any more than required. We also want to keep the center of gravity as low as possible. Help an old YJ Jeeper set-up his new JK!

Trim he factory fenders or replace them with xenon or whatever is out there..

if you plan on wheeling it with no lift... then there might be a possibility for trimming somewhere on the back or front

I currently run 35s with no lift cos of garage height problem and only needed to hammer and fold back the pinch seams and chop the fenders, but a couple of points to note, you're fine driving alone but if you have large friends along you will rub. Also not all 35s are 35inch diameter, my MTZs measure only 33.75 at 31psi, so if you run a truer 35 meat, you'll rub quicker.

Take a look at RRC side armour guards, they mount to chassis and ride a little lower than many other rock sliders out there, so perfect as a step.

Hope this helps

I'll give this one a little bump, but I've never seen a writup for the process, though I can see why. Just chop the fenders and install 35s. I've seen some guys the wheel theirs with 35s and a 1 in body lift.

I hope to do the same myself.

Default thanks

thanks, I will look at trimming the fenders and maybe some of the sheet metals. I will also look at maybe a smaller lift to make sure of no rubbing. I do plan on having a Jeep load of grandma and the grand kids at times when off road.
