You know your a red neck when your non working trailer sits on top of your working trailer!

Congrats. Are you planning on a RTT for the trailer?

Yeah it was a 2 hour drive home and I got a few stares as I was driving down the road. I bought it from my boss and the day before I went to get it he called me and told me it had no license plate and the lights didn't work. When I got there the left tire was going flat also. Probably best that I trailered my new trailer home Hahahahaha.

To answer your question...... Yes that is one of the MANY things that are on the to do list for my new project.

Nice find. I've been looking. What did you snag it for?

Picked this one up last fall:

Moved the axle above the springs to line it up better with the Jeep:

Much more to be done to make it an expedition trailer, but it's a start!

This is my first jeep trailer and the suspension is really stiff. It's OK on the road, but when the rocks get fist-sized or bigger I have to go really slow to keep it from bouncing around and trashing the stuff inside. I've thought about removing a leaf from the springs, but haven't decided if that's the best route to take.

Any suggestions or comments about trailer suspensions would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like a good start. Bouncy is not good, particular if it still does it when loaded. Removing a leaf may well work, but I'm not a fan of axle flips as the seem less stable off road. If it were mine I would do a shackle lift with new shocks. I'd pair this with a new axle with 5 on 5 and a pair of stocker JK wheels/rims off Craigslist so everything matches. I'm sure it's on your list, but that lobster color doesn't match you JK ; )
