Default Ok another newbie question

So we just bought a 2011 Wrangler Sport 3.8/v6 hardtop with customer package. Is it the tires/wheels that are factory on this that make it seem taller or is there a lift that is included in this package? I want to buy the largest tires I can without rubbing issues (will get reduced fender flares) and the smallest wheel combination possible...I am going for that cool Hummer look where the tire is like a huge doughnut and it has a small wheel so that it almost looks completely like a tire only....both tie and wheel blacked out of course. Can anyone please help...cause I am still confused with those running around with 37 and I can't see how I can get away with more than 31s stock on this particular Wrangler model? Thank you.

With a stock wrangler, 33's or 35's with flat fenders will be the biggest tire you will be able to run without a lift. To answer your tire/lift question, look at it like this: a tire will give you more clearance from the ground to the axles, a lift will give you more clearance from the axle to the fender (ie. to run a bigger tire). If you plan on running a bigger tire than a 35, you should look into a budget boost lift for that or if you plan on wheeling, a lift kit. This will allow you to run a bigger tire.

Not trying to be a prick but, please don't say "I'm going for that cool hummer look"...Hummers are wannabe Jeeps. I stopped reading after that sentence

Forgot to put H1...that is the only Hummer that shares its lineage to the Willys-Overland Co. And it is in its own right the ultimate vehicle replacing all others from the military point..indisputable

Agree about the H1, as for the question at hand, you should be able to run 35's with flat fenders and proper back spacing on the rim. You might have to trim on the front bumper from the inside, not noticeable.
