I was one of the naysayers.

I installed, correctly, a 2" Superlift BB. I had annoying vibrations at 55 to 65mph and my ride quality definitely suffered a bit...stiff in a bad way, bouncy and jolty.

What ultimately made me remove the lift were the vibrations, which were coming from the rear driveshaft. It didn't like the new anlge.

I have a 2 door Rubicon, and I know that most 4 door owners don't have this problem because of the longer rear driveshaft, but the problem of the jolty ride is still there. Honestly, most drivers aren't sensitive enough to how their vehicle drives to notice minor changes, but if you are a very sensitive driver, a BB will kill you.

To that effect, I think it's pretty clear that this 3-3.5" 'BB' is a poor product that needs some serious revision.
x2 on this. It sounds like you are only listening to the negative posts. You will find out that most of the bad experiences were a result of installer error or poor maintenance, which people almost never admit to. They rather blame someone else. However, I can only speak of my first hand experience.... but Ive told you that already, so I will not repeat again all the reasons I love my BB. But its your Jeep, you can do what you want.

If your only wanting the 1" lift that a body lift will give you, why don't you just get 1" coil spacers? It would look a lot better than a body lift and not cause any problems.

X2

Thinking about this for a second......maybe whom ever wrote that put on a 2.5 BB and then added 33" tires. When he measured, it was 3" higher than stock. NO KIDDING....2.5" lift and what he forgot was the 33" tire added aprox 1/2" more to the hieght (2.5" + .5" = 3"). That makes more sense to me.....sorry just rambling...

A "sensitive driver" should not have bought a Jeep Wranger, let alone a 2 door. Most "sensitive drivers I know opted for a H3 or Grand Cherokee. No joke, there are people sensitive to minor changes in ride quality etc...I've known a few and they have all left the realm of the Wrangler within 18 months to buy something a little more tame. A front live axle is a totally beast as opposed to the independant suspension we've all come to enjoy from riding in cars and Chevy trucks...

This seems like a good way to get a little more clearance w/not a lot of money and also not much in the way of DL issues. Do both. Or if money isn't a problem... go on and do the 3" FT

So your advice is get rid of my Wrangler? Why? I love my Wrangler. I love how it drives and I'm used to it's quirks and enjoy most of them. The JK Wrangler is not a TJ, which I could never drive. The JK actually drives quite nice.

When I put on the lift, the ride went to shit, and the vibrations couldn't be ignored.

So if my problems are from install error, what was my error? What could I have done to eliminate rear driveshaft vibrations of a jolty bouncy ride? Get a new driveshaft? New shocks, springs? That wouldn't be a BB, then, would it?

Sensitive driver just means that you are in tune with minor details of how your vehicle drives, not that you are spolied and need to siting in a luxury sedan.

Heed this warning...a BB WILL change how your JK feels. Maybe if you have the 4 door you won't get the vibrations, but you'll get the bounciness and stiff jolts and the greater roll from higher center of gravity. If you are the kind of person whose transmission explodes before he notices it shifting funny, go for it, you won't have a clue.

Im not saying you had didnt driveline issues, Im sure if you say you did, you did. The increased angle on the 2 door could cause that. However, saying that us with 4 doors are clueless to our bouncy, jolty ride you are full of it. Explain to me how I will have a jolty and bouncy ride with stock shocks and springs? I can see the higher center of gravity giving you slightly more body roll, because it does. The difference is barely noticable. However, the ride quality is EXACTLY like it was before I lifted it.

Well I am going to keep kicking around the 1 in BL and the 2 in Black Diamond with Shocks....

Is there anything not included in the kit I would need to add?

Again, this is for a Unlimited Rubicon NOT the 2 door....
