Has anyone used these or had any experience. Seems like a cool idea, I just worry about how loose they may be sliding in or out. Any experiences, and if so thoughts?

Uggh, man those are butt uggly imo. You could get some good rock rails that double as steps for a little more. It would look better plus protect more.
