Can't answer all of your questiions, but I can tell you that my 33s rub up front on the outside edge of the flare at full flex. I'm looking at adding some bumpstop extensions soon. The other thing I can tell you is that the shocks are a little on the short side. I believe they are only an inch longer than stock.

This thread may be of interest to you also.

Default Will 35's rub ?

Hi SARubi4, and all JK owners with moderate lift kits,

I'm from Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, South Africa, and have the same question regarding my recently fitted Maxxis Bighorns. I have a 2" Procomp spacer lift with still standard shocks, and have not taken on any serious off-road action.
I have changed my Rubicon' s dif ratios to 4.88 before I decided to go the upgrade to 35's.

I would like to know form hard core JK off roaders whether I will experience the tyres touching body / frame during off road situations ??

I have also fitted Firestone Coilrite airbags inside my coils, front and back, to aid when I load up with camping gear / tow heavy loads. It works like magic, I have firm sporty suspension to handle the loads and deflate for soft flexing suspension off road.

Do I need to get a bigger lift kit ??

I have a 4 door, standard, Rubi, and the only problem I had was a little tire rub on my sway bar when I put on my 35's. This was easily fixed with steel spacers from TF. I've done so much since then.

I believe they were 1" if not, then the 1.25. I'd call TF or whoever and tell them what I was doing first. Always talk to the people selling, they can be helpful. Reps at retailers don't count, a lot of them are idiots.

3/4 inch bump stop would probably do it for the 33s I’m running. Don’t know for sure on the 35s.

Picking a tire really is a personal preference. I chose the 33s because I didn't want to have to change gears and I park in parking garages with low clearances, so I didn't want to get too tall. Also, I run the 2 door. I think in your case most people would suggest the 35s. Personally I would like a little more lift for 35s than the OME, certainly longer shocks. However, many people here run the OME kit with 35s and are quite happy.

should i go with 33 if my jeep is only used for offroad and weekend cruises or would 35's work out without to much rubbing?
