Default OME Shocks for TF 2.5 ?

i have a 2door jk with the TF 2.5 coil lift, i just purchased the OME nitro sports for 2-2.5 of lift, from my understanding the 2.5bb lifts the 2doors around 3-3.25 inches without armor..

my question is, would i need the next size up OME shocks (3.5-5 inch)? or are those too big?

im asking cause when i pulled my stockers off with the adapters, they were around an inch bigger

thanks in advance for any responce!

Default Ome

That depends on the free height of your teraflex coils. The LT shocks will work with several of the flexy or progressive coils available. The 2" OME shocks are only about 1" or so longer than stock, where the LT ones are 4 or 5" longer. I think that most people who use the LT shocks even with the 3" lifts use coils retainers. I hear that OME are working on some some MID length shocks to be available in the next few months.

i guess wut i meant was, are the (2-2.5) shocks fine with my rig? even though there around 1-2inches smaller than my stockers with adapters?

i guess they will compress more, but do i lose articulation? if that makes sence

Default Shocks

They will work fine, but will limit your travel, that really are a short shock, probably around 23" long extended. You could try using them with your shock extenders?
or, jack your JK up, put it on stands, undo your lower shock bolts, drop your diff, until your coils become just loose, take say 1" off that measurement, and you wills ee what length shock you can use. And it will probably be 2 or 3" longer than the OME 2" shocks. I guess you can safely use 25 to 26" extended shocks front and rear with the teraflex coils.

so I probley should of went with the OME (3.5-5 inch) shocks to compensate for how short they are? I haven't bought the rear yet.. so maybe put the longer OME in the rear? would that hurt anything?

You'll want to ensure you have adequate bump stopping to keep the longer shocks from bottoming out and destroying themselves.
