OX Locker

Getting ready to put a locker in my 2012 not really wanting to go w/the ARB. Anyone running the OX locker and what do you think of it???

I run an OX in the rear D44. I can't speak highly enough of this product. Easy install, very good directions, brutally strong and locks and unlocks on command every time. People who have trouble with them locking and unlocking have set the cable up wrong. Set the cable up with the diff cover on the bench not on the vehicle. :yup:

I was looking at these myself. How well do they operate on the street unlocked? Mine is a DD and I want to pick one that will have no ill effects and will lock when I need them.

It will do that, its a selectable locker uses a cable attached to a lever.

Ox is selectable. On the street, you will never know it is there - just like an Eaton, ARB, or factory Rubicon locker.

I don't have any first hand experience, but everyone I know that runs one likes it.

Thanks for the input, Everyone I've talked to seems to like it and only complaint I've heard was in regards to the cable needing to be adjusted.

Anyone have one of these long term? Wondering about reliability

Toss-up for my future locking choice for my front/rear axles: I've heard great things about Ox lockers for durability and operation, similar to ARB locker reputation. And initially looking, the price is decent considering that the locker itself comes with the diff cover, too (which is integral to the locking system), but cables and levers (not including the electronic and/or air solenoid options) are about $200 extra. After the total package is taken into consideration, the Ox is practially the same cost as an ARB locker without the onboard air system. Any opinions?

Hand operated cables don't leak....but air lines do.

Both are well engineered designs, but if you may have to deal with Canadian winter temperatures, I'd go for the Ox.

You don't even know it's there on the street. When it's unlocked it's an open diff.
