Ox Locker Questions
I think I have decided on getting a dual OX Locker Setup. I need to re-gear and want to do lockers at the same time, since I need new carriers anyways. I think the OX is the best for my budget. I drive on snow alot, so I don't want to use a Aussie or something like that in the front. I like the open diff for regular driving and locked up for off-road. ARB's are great, but I don't have the funds for them and the pump, lines, etc... I have never installed gears or a locker, but I want to try. I have done all my own work on my cars since I was a teenager, and I've been a helicopter mechanic for 12 years, so I'm sure I can do it. I can get access to the tools I need thru the Car Craft Center on base. I have done quite a bit of research already. I have searched this forum and still have some questions. Here goes.
This is my current setup:
2007 Sahara Unlimited, Manual Transmission, 35" tires, D30 front, D44 rear, 3:21 gears, Banks exhaust, Hyperchip, AEM intake
Here is what I plan on doing:
5:13 Yukon gears Front and Rear, Ox lockers front and rear
Here are my Questions:
1. Is there anyone here running this setup?
2. What size cables, front and rear, should I get for the 4 Door?
3. Has anyone installed these lockers themself? If so, what are some tips?
4. If you have an OX locker, where did you mount the levers?
And can someone verify this for me: D30=27 spline, D44=30 spline (non-Rubi)
I plan on getting the gears from 4x4groupbuy as a kit.

Thanks for the input. Now I have some more research to do. I was sure the OX lockers were available.
JKDoc, Do you think if you went up to 37's the 4.56 gears would be enough? I was only thinking of going with the 5.13 because there was a possibility of getting 37's down the road, and I don't want to have to regear again. Did you get your ARB's from one of the sponsors on here? I realy wanted ARB's to start, but I want to do everything all at once. I guess I could get the compressor first, then save up and buy the lockers and gears together.
How easy would installing ARB's be for an exerianced mechanic that has never done a gear change? Thanks again for the input.
