Default Performance-What's first, second,...next

I have a cold air intake and I have already changed out my gears. I want to upgrade the performance of 08JKU. I am thinking about exhaust next. What else should I consider to maximize my performance? In what order? Thanks for any suggestions!!

A tuner.. Without a doubt.. I know you probably threw on a CAI and said .. "well it's a little better" just like I did (have an 08). And when you throw on an exhaust you'll probably say the same thing. I just got a superchips vivid and it's more than "a little better" best performance mod so far. I don't really care which one you pick but I highly recommend a tuner.

Exhaust is ok i did mine mostly cause the stock was heavy and big. I got the AFE hi tuck and it sounds good and is tucked up real hi under the jeep you cant even see it when you are standing behind it. It added a little low end but not not much. IDK your budget but maybe look into ripp superchargers or prodigy turbo. Superchips is also an option but i got most of my performance back from the regear.

Definitely a tuner. I also recommend the superchips Vivid. It is packed with features and really helps the performance. Being that you have already reheated this will really bring the performance out of your setup

A tuner will give you the biggest bang for your buck. I also put on a firepower ignition kit and gapped the plugs to .065 (from .050). Not sure how much it helped but sure didn't hurt! The Jeep ran great till I put on 35's. Should be ok once I re-gear.

So how hard is a tuner to use? I am a novice at this so I had the gears installed but I have done all my other aftermarket add ons including the CAI. Is this something I need to be afraid of? Its ok to talk down to me so I can understand. I know my level.

It's about as difficult as a smart phone to use. The more you dig the more there is, but getting your speedo right, gears, tire size and a performance tune is pretty straight forward.

I too have upgraded from a Superchips Flashpaq and just installed a Superchips Vivid.
