Unfortunately, it was just a one-off for the show but I'm pretty sure they're going to put it in production in the future.

I'm sure AEV will it into production. I'm also sure it will cost more than the vehicle cost to get it done. To call AEV a rip-off would be a compliment. They are more like crooks. I wonder how much the floor of the tent would be able to hold? Seriously thought I could see them charging like $1,500 or more for it. When a normal tent costs like $100 for a decent one, hard to justify that. Plus it takes away your opportunity to go topless.

I don't think the freedom top is designed to support any additional weight. Even roof racks are supported by the gutters.

Without a doubt, AEV products are pricey but amazingly, people still do buy their stuff.

I wonder how much the floor of the tent would be able to hold?
I asked them the same question at SEMA and was told that the camper top is a removable clam shell design and the weight is distributed over the entire area of the hard top. Most likely, there will be some kind of max weight capacity listed for it - it may be intended only for anorexic people.

Seriously thought I could see them charging like $1,500 or more for it.
Seriously, I have an idea that it'll be more than that.

Plus it takes away your opportunity to go topless.
As mentioned, the camper is removable but yes, when it's on, you cannot go topless.
