Default Pilot LED tail lights

So i finally got around to installing the pilot LED tail lights on my 2012 JK. Tested them out and the brake lights and reverse lights come on just fine. The issue is the turn singals. They light, but flash quickly for the 1st 3-5 seconds, then start flashing normally....weird!!
To top it off, the info display on the dash reads either left or right rear signal light is burnt and it reads the opposite light of what is actually flashing. Anyone experience this issue and/or has a resolution?

Sounds like you need some resistors.

Default Pilot LED's

I've had the Pilot LED brake lights for a couple of years now and even with a resistor they still flash fast for the first few seconds. I contacted Pilot about twelve months ago and they said they had never heard of any problems with the flash or of anyone having to add resistors! They swapped out my old pair with a new pair (and I was foolish enought to think that the newer set may have the problem resolved!) and they still don't flash correctly. The problem is simple, because of the low amp draw that LED's have, the JK electronic flasher thinks a bulb is out. The resistor is supposed to solve the problem but I've never had them work correctly. If anyone figures it out let me know, I'm tired of hearing the fast flasher!!

it looks like the ones i have actually come with resistors of some sort. i can deal with the fast flash but the fact the info display shows the rear tail lights out every other minute is gonna aggravate the crap outta me... this wouldn't heave been as much of an issue with my 2010 but the new ones have the fancy shmancy display under the speedo that gives you all the info and setting options... there has to be a solution. if not, i'm gonna put my LEDs up for sale and put back my stockers... PILOT automotive, this is an invitation to fix the issue!

I saw those as well but was looking for a more stock appearance to avoid issues with the 5 Os. If ipcw can make them work then pilot better get their act together.

X2.. they might have wrong type of resistor in there. I know with motorcycles if you get wrong type it does nothing and can also burn stuff up
