Default Pinion adjustment...

Anyone know how many degrees the pinion angle can be adjusted by using cam bolts on the rear upper arms??? I know I should use adjust. control arms, but that's not an option at the moment ($). Thanks.

On the LCAs, the beefier front mounting bracket has some pseudo-knockouts to allow for a cam bolt.

The front mounting bracket for the UCAs is thinner, has no provisions for knockouts and the bracket portion that would support the cam bolts is part of the UCA not the mounting bracket.

The UCAs don't carry the same load as the LCAs, but ...

Where are you planning to install the cam bolts on the front or back end of the UCA ?

Is you pinion angle that large that it is causing binding on the driveshaft?

I haven't installed it yet, I'm just trying to wrap my head around things. I was planning on using the bolts on the Upper Rear Arm. The reasn is that I have to install a Tom Woods rear drive shaft to compensate for the extreme angle the 4" lift will put on the stock shaft.

I'm afraid that the Rough Country control arms won't create the correct angle necessary for a U joint shaft (I read it has to be almost 0 degrees). If the control arms that come with the series II kit do create the correct angle and I don't even have to think about cams, that would be perfect. But not many people seem to have the lift with the arms, so I'm not sure how much the RC arms do in terms of correcting caster and pinion.

I know Skyjacker puts out a kit that comes with front and rear cam bolts, so I thought if I needed to I could use cams on the rear to perfect the necessart pinion angle.

Thanks for the help.
