Thanks y'all!! Well I don't really understand the gearing situation now haha and does anyone know of a good, decently priced jeep shop besides fortec and 4 wheel parts in GA and a good 4x4 club in GA? Also, if I did take it somewhere what's a decent price for parts, labor, tax, etc? I called 4 wheel parts yesterday and they told me for a 2.5" budget boost and what I'd need, after I told them what I was looking for, it'd be about $1000 for parts, labor, etc

I will post some pictures of jeeps I've seen that I really like! Some of them I know what's been done, but some I can't tell I just like the look

For reminder- As of right now I want my jeep leveled, good ride, and eventually to put 33's or 35's on it (that's why I've looked at the 2.5")- it's my every day driver and the only off roading is dirt roads and maybe a little mudding

Excellent!

Now we have something to work off of...

You have a very nice gallery of Jeeps, need to look at it when I get home, probably looks better on iPad than on iPhone

Don't know if you said and I missed it,, 2 or 4 door? And your budget is?

Well... I'm trying not to spend over $500 for the budget boost/leveling kit after doing some research and then if I need spacers that's fine. I eventually want to run 33's or 35's as well. I am not sure if it's cheaper to buy the parts then have them installed or buy the parts through whoever does the installation 4 wheel parts in Marietta for instance is $1000 for parts, labor, and tax and then if I bought the parts then they'd charge me for the same amount of labor- I don't know enough to tell what's a rip off and a good deal haha

There's probably more info earlier in the post that I may be missing, I've been trying to research so much and gotten so many thoughts and advice that it's all running together at this point haha

It's just hard knowing what I want, but at the same time not knowing exactly what it entails I guess.

I am running a Teraflex budget boost with 35's on mine now and it rides great. I did upgrade the shocks to a set of adjustable Rancho 9000's and ditched the shock extenders.

I didn't try to copy the yellow one, I just stumbled on a look that I liked, I guess it's kind of like bringing paint and fabric samples when you go shopping for fancy furniture.

My goal was to spend the $ for off road improvements, which exactly opposite of what your doing, but if you go through some of the threads like 2 doors only, or show us your 37's etc.

Here's what I wound up with...I think I put together a nice looking Jeep without copying the yellow one!

Nice to both!

If you really want 33s or 35s I'd suggest going with a 2.5 inch lift. Something simple with coils and shocks like Rubicon Express or Skyjacker. You'll be much happier in the long run.

Maybe go to 4wd.com and other sites and get a free catalog to compare lifts, tires & wheels, etc...

PS: Remembering the guys hating on my Jeep not being level here on the Forum. Not our fault

Alright cool! You're jeep looks good too

So do I get the 2.5" BB with or without shocks? Until I need new tires, I'm keeping my stock wheels and tires.

This is what I did to my 2010. I changed out the shocks to the Rubicon ones and the springs are Old Man Emu's. The JKU sits about 2.5" taller and I am using wheels and tires from a 2013 Sahara for the time being. I will eventually be putting back on my black rims once I get money for 33" tires to put on those.

You can always find Rubicon take off springs and shocks on Craigslist and have people from the forum help you change them out for you instead of spending a lot of money.

My buddy and I both wrenched on my Jeep and I only spent less than $500.

The last 2 pictures shows the additional height I gained from the rear springs.

I recommend a TeraFlex leveling kit for your needs, it lifts the front 2" in front and 1 in back giving you a level jeep with 1" of lift, looks nice with stock wheels and tires. About 160$ and 3 hours to install. With basic tools.

Since then I have also added 33" tires on Rubicon wheels with 1.5" spacers and 10 anniversary rubicon springs for a total of 2.75" of lift.
