Poison Spyder Brawler Rocker Install

While it is fresh in my mind I wanted to post a few tips on installing the Poison Spyder Brawler Rocker's on a new (2013) JKUR.

First definately watch Bob's video he has a lot of good information here: Poison Spyder Brawler Rocker Install Jeep JK - YouTube

Here is what I would add to that:
  • If you have access to a Nutsert installation tool (about $80) I would highly recommend it. If you are in my area send me an PM and you can borrow it or you can pick one up at Tool King (another poster linked to it).
  • My machinists friend (Chris - great guy) made a template die to help with centering the pilot hole. This worked excellent. Our only problem was on one hole when the template moved slightly. Again if someone wants they can borrow it.
  • We decided to put black silicone (Brawlers were painted black) on the nutsert and drilled holes instead of touchup paint.
  • The hole closest to the front of driver door and nearest the top didn't have great depth but we were able to start the squeeze on the Nutsert and then get it in nicely.
  • The hole closest to the front of vehicle and nearest the Brawler had little depth and you either have to drill through both panels but be careful the second panel is on a incline.
  • When you put the clips in make sure they are nut side down (listed in instructions) and tabs to the left (not listed in the instructions). We left the tabs straight out and there is a bigger gap on that side.
  • It took us about 4 hours for the driver side and 2 hours on the passenger when we were more comfortable with it.
  • If anyone is in the area and wants help I will be happy to assist.
  • If I think of anything more I will edit.
